The Living Lighter and Healthier Protocol is for those who want to lose weight. It draws from the knowledge and tested approaches of these researchers and clinicians to provide a personalized scientific based programme for women and men, to regain their health, reap weight loss as reward and then get healthier as they get older.
The Midlife Matters Weight Loss Programme Details
Our programme is the culmination of research and clinical experience of various pockets of excellence in the fields of restoring metabolic health, dementia prevention and weight loss. The benefit of each of these centers of excellence is that cognitive decline is prevented or reversed, and metabolic health is regained, but the common denominator in all these programmes is weight loss. The focus is not to lose weight but to reclaim health, and this invariably results in weight loss. Hence our focus is to target those who are overweight. Not only to help them to lose weight but to prevent disease that is the inevitable byproduct down the line of being overweight.
The programme is made available on-line via group or individual sessions and consists of three phases each lasting 4 weeks – in total 12 weeks.
Assessment phase once you start our programme to assess your risks for metabolic health and related conditions
By now you have done the health risk assessment and are aware of your risk factors. The best way to identify your health risk factors is by means of various blood tests that will give you an exact indication of your deficiencies and causes for your weight gain and other symptoms.
Once you start our program, I will conduct a thorough individual assessment with you and consult one of our medical practitioner partners to determine the blood tests best suited for your profile. This is to tailor-make our programme for you and to save cost by not doing unnecessary expensive blood tests. These tests will be discussed with you and the cost is for your account and over and above the fees for the 12-week programme. If you need to consult a medical practitioner based on your blood tests, you can choose one of our doctors or use your regular practitioner. The cost of this, plus the required medication, will be for your account. Medical aids usually contribute to the cost depending on your specific plan.
